Spirit is our full-length narrowboat with disabled/wheelchair access via hydraulic lifts at the front and rear. Mainly suitable as a trip/day boat. She does require a qualified steerer.

She is centrally heated and with a open plan interior and comfortable chairs, so there is a roomy area to accommodate up to 6 wheelchairs and 6 adults. There are 2 toilets one of which is large enough to take a wheelchair and carer comfortably.

She has a small well equipped fitted kitchen with fridge, hot and cold water, etc so she is ideal for self-catering.

Having a large cruiser stern deck and with the lift at the front, there is plenty of room for people to stand/sit in the open air.

Pisces is the flagship of HNA’s boats, with a lot of history to tell. She’s our fully traditional ex-working boat, with the engine between the steerer’s cabin and the rest of the boat. Originally, a family of up to five people would live in the small space which is today the steerer’s cabin – the rest of the boat forward of the engine would have been used for carrying cargo.

Fully refurbished by HNA, she now sleeps ten people plus a steerer, has two toilets and a shower on board, as well as a basic fitted kitchen with full-size gas cooker, hot and cold running water, and fridge.

Pisces’ rear cabin is set in the traditional style, with a steerer’s bunk (and storage underneath) and a fully working range for those cold winter nights or early morning breakfasts.

Theo is now open plan with 2 bunks at the back of the boat, and 2 rows of seating at the front. She has a fully fitted kitchen, with all equipment. She has a cassette type toilet.

She is ideal for  short trips and other day trips

Reg (named in memory of Reg Styles a previous treasurer) is a 45ft narrowboat, mainly to be used as a self-steer day boat for 6-8 passengers.

She has a large cruiser stern with 2 single bunks in the back cabin, a small, fitted kitchen, shower and toilet and a front saloon area with a gate leg table and chairs, double bed settee and a solid fuel stove. The front well has seating for 2-4 people.

Steerers will be assessed, and complete novices will be given some training included in the hire price.
